In short: The Hubbell CS6365C is a 50A, 125/250V AC, 3-pole, 4-wire grounding California Style Twist-Lock® Insulgrip® plug. A stainless steel shroud prevents mismating, a two-piece external cord clamp gives maximum strain relief, and hex-socket box terminals accept #10–#6 AWG stranded copper on cord from .830" to 1.250". It mates with the CS6364C connector and CS6369 receptacle.
Built for heavy duty
A 50A plug lives a hard life: dragged off trucks, dropped on generator pads, coiled wet and stepped on all day. Hubbell built its 50A Twist-Lock® devices with a super-tough nylon housing and rigid construction that restricts contact distortion, so the plug keeps mating cleanly and only with the right device.
Impact-resistant nylon stands up to heavy-duty use in harsh environments, from loading docks to outdoor event sites.
The shroud restricts mismating with the wrong device, and the rigid body limits contact distortion over years of connect and disconnect.
Offset gripping jaws hold both the conductors and the cord jacket for maximum strain relief on heavy 50A cable.
A threaded slug with a hex socket applies high clamping pressure to the conductor without damaging strands.
The blade holder and interior resist heat and impact, protecting the brass blades where the current actually flows.
Certified for current interrupting at full rated current and tested to withstand 2,000V minimum dielectric. Listed to UL 498 and certified to CSA C22.2 No. 42.

Questions
California Style is a non-NEMA locking configuration rated 50A at 125/250V AC with 3 poles and 4 wires, including a grounding wire. It is separate from the NEMA L-series, so the Hubbell CS6365C only mates with other 50A California Style devices.
The CS6365C plugs into Hubbell's CS6364C connector body on a cord or the CS6369 single receptacle on a panel or box. It will not mate with NEMA L-series devices such as L14-30.
The box terminals accept #10 AWG through #6 AWG stranded copper wire only, and the cord clamp fits cord with an outside diameter of .830 to 1.250 inch (21.08 to 31.75 mm).
It is rated 125/250V AC. The two hot terminals give 125V to neutral and 250V between hots, so one cable can feed both 120V and 240V single-phase loads.
