The Motion Labs L21-30 Twistlock Cable (50ft) is a UL-listed, 30-amp, 120/208V three-phase extension cable made with #8/5 SOW cord and black NEMA L21-30 locking connectors on each end. Its 50-foot length is designed for longer power runs, such as from a generator or house tie-in to distribution across a stage, studio, or location set.
Some setups need more reach than a short jumper can provide. The 50-foot Motion Labs L21-30 cable carries full 30-amp, 120/208 VAC three-phase power across the distance between your power source and your distro, so you can keep generators away from the set, route around obstacles, and place dimmers and PDUs where you need them.
It's built with #8 AWG, 5-conductor SOW cord, which is sized for 30-amp service and keeps voltage drop low even at this length. The flexible, oil- and water-resistant rubber jacket handles outdoor locations, wet ground, and repeated coiling, while NEMA L21-30 twistlock connectors lock in with a quarter turn and stay connected when the cable is pulled or walked on. The all-black cable and connectors keep long runs discreet on camera and in front of audiences.

Choose the 50-foot cable when your generator needs to sit farther from set for noise or exhaust reasons, when house power or the electrical panel is located away from the shooting area, when you're running power across a stage, along truss, or around a venue perimeter, or when you'd otherwise need to join two 25-foot cables. A single 50-foot cable means one less connection to inspect, secure, and potentially fail.
For short jumps between a distro and a nearby dimmer or PDU, the 25ft Motion Labs L21-30 cable is easier to manage.

An L21-30 is a NEMA twist-locking connector rated for 30 amps at 120/208 volts, three-phase wye. It has five pins: three hot conductors (X, Y, Z), one neutral, and one ground.
A 30A, 208V three-phase circuit supplies about 10.8 kVA at full rating, or roughly 8.6 kVA for continuous loads using the 80% rule. The 50-foot length doesn't reduce this rating.
A single 50ft cable is usually the better choice for a fixed long run because it removes a connection point that could loosen, get kicked, or need inspecting. Two 25ft cables give more flexibility if your setup changes often.
