Rubber easily tore off on its first use

I recently purchased 8x single tube holders and 1x quad tube holder. After the first use, most of the rubber surrounding the clips tore and fell off the clips without any effort. I had hope that these holders would protect my Quasar Tubes from being scratched up or damaged.
