Unlike many light stands, grip stands are made of steel so the riser tube wont bend when arming or offsetting a flag, microphone boom or light fixture. Now the company has introduced the next generation of Stands with some exciting new upgrades that will make them even more popular on film, video, and photo sets from coast to coast.

The new Century Stands are made from hi-tensile chrome steel saving 10% in weight and have a redesigned universal top stud for greater compatibility with a wider range of lighting equipment and accessories. In addition, the riser column has been redesigned to virtually eliminate the possibility of pinched fingers. And, to accommodate industry demands for taller stands, we have now added a 60" model with Classic, Sliding Leg or Detachable bases.

The next generation Century Stands retain all of Avenger's trademark features including: triple–plated marine-spar-grade finishes; captive T-handles that won't fall out or get lost; secure, screw-less brake shoe mechanisms that protect the risers; tough, deep set plastic feet; and field serviceable parts.
